Stop Limiting Your Thinking

I have been working in ministry and business for 30+ years. During this time, I have seen great success come from the ideas that God has given me. People have been blessed through my ministry and my business ventures have flourished by the grace of God. I am continuously inspired to move forward in my abilities as a result of the progress that has come forth. Even with all of this experience and success, the forces of limited thinking try to grip its weakening hands of doubt and fear in my mind. If I’m not careful, I will limit myself and hinder every gift that God has placed in me and delay its proper timing. I have often wondered why so many people have limited thinking when it comes to moving forward in their career, faith, business and relationships. I began to read and study about what makes one person succeed in these areas and another fail. In my research, I have found that the person who achieves great things, built their mind on positive thinking. They established in their mind that they were going to win no matter what. On the contrary, the person who failed became paralyzed by their own self-doubt and fear. They allowed pain to cripple them mentally, physically or emotionally and it stopped them from seeing the greatness within. It’s important to realize that we all have fear and doubt at one point or another. We are all faced with negative situation and thoughts in our mind. However, it’s how you channel these two weakening forces that determines your outcome. Both a car and television remote control need batteries in order to operate. They are rendered useless unless they have a driving force to give them the power they need to operate. What do the both batteries have in common? Although one works the remote to the television and the other the car you drive, they both need positive and negative power to operate. In other words, you can’t move your car or change the channel without having both positive and negative working together to make things happen. This means that negative situations will arise in your life but you must allow it to push you forward and not hold you back. Don’t allow others to stop you with their words of discouragement. Don’t let them stop you from striving for your dreams. If you allow your mind to wander, thinking about what others think of you, you will become a victim to limited thinking. You must not allow past or present experiences to stop you from believing it’s possible. You will see your goals and future dreams come to you. With all of the uncontrollable noise going on in your life, it is important that you put an end to the noise in your mind that you have sole power to control. When you find that doubt, fear, worry, anxiety, negative thinking, frustration and stress is starting to creep in, tell yourself to STOP limiting your thinking! When you die, you want to die empty with nothing left inside of you. No unfinished business, no unfinished goals or unfinished dreams. You want to leave this earth having fulfilled all of the things God has placed in you.
